Most workshops work best as a day-long (6-7 hour) format. When possible, I have students do some preliminary cutting at home so we can spend class time in construction. Cost: $300(USD) per day for up to 15 students plus $20 for each additional student. Sponsor pays travel and lodging. I can supply any patterns, books or tools needed (at retail price) if your local quilt shop does not stock them. Click HERE for a PDF catalog of current class offerings.
Any of my published patterns (see pattern page) are available as classes.
SPECIALTY TOOLS
See catalog for my original patterns designed for tools such as (but not limited to):
Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star
The Tucker Trimmer
Square-2
V-Blocks
Spotlight
60-degree Triangle
After 20 years as a shop-based teacher, I'm familiar with most specialty tools, and will be happy to work with you to design a class project around a tool you'd like to learn.
NORTHWIND
Two triangles equals eight blocks and endless possibilities in this scrappy quilt designed by Sharyn Craig. Not available in a national venue. ($10 materials fee per student inc. template set)

The Thrifty Quilter
My first book teaches my simple system for managing the mountains of scraps quilters accumulate. Precut three simple shapes and use them to make dozens of quilt blocks with hundreds of design possibilities. In class, we discuss the system, and make a sampler quilt. The sampler layout used for this class is not included in the book. Smaller projects, such as placemats, wallhangings and tablerunners are also available.
